Cheap Fun

Do you rotate toys in your house??  I don't necessarily  rotate out a whole room of toys, but I do keep some hidden to pull out when the kids "need" it.  What that means in my house:  The kids "need" something new because mama actually needs the time to accomplish something.  There is also the times that the kids just get CRAZY!! Apparently nothing is of interest to them, there is whining, fighting, total chaos.  They NEED to see something new and semi-interesting.

Exhibit A:

Soup cans, mardi gras beads, and tongs.  This gave me at least 20 minutes.  Boom!  I'm awesome!!

Cloud in a Jar

So I saw this super fun experiment on pinterest that created colorful clouds in a jar. I wanted to start introducing the concept of science experiments and problem solving to landon and this seemed like the perfect starter activity!!!

Here is what it looked like on pinterest.

Simple. Jar, water, shaving cream, dropper and food coloring.

And this is how we do it......

Looks the same, right?!?!?
